When you are looking at used or new Audi’s, trim levels can get quite confusing. For example. when we search for a used Audi Q5, the first three listings read: “2018 Audi Q5 2.0T Prestige”, “2015 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium Plus”, “2019 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium Plus”, and “2019 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium.” So what is exactly Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige? They are trim levels that Audi offers on all of their vehicles. In this article, we will be going over the differences between Premium vs Premium Plus vs Prestige.
It can be difficult to tell apart from the outside, but there are a few things you could look for. Wheels are a big difference from Premium to Premium Plus or Prestige. Typically a Premium will not have a panoramic sunroof unless you pay an extra $2,000. LED Headlights, LED taillights, and a hands-free liftgate is among other things that would be a noticeable difference on the exterior. However, you’ll be able to tell when you see the interior or get behind the wheel to drive it. The interiors and tech inside of a Premium vs a Prestige are vastly different.
Vehicles This Applies To:
The higher-end luxury or performance vehicles like the 2022 TT or R8, do not have trim levels because they come with all of the bells and whistles already. In some form or another, almost every Audi vehicle has one of these trim levels. However, not all of them have a choice of all 3. Some could only offer Audi premium vs premium plus, while others could offer premium vs premium plus vs prestige. So let’s get into the differences.
Audi Premium vs Premium Plus vs Prestige
Since you already know that these are Audi trims, let’s go a little more in-depth to help you choose which you would like. Audi Premium is going to be the “base” edition or entry-level, Premium Plus is the mid-level trim, while Prestige is the highest-level trim for Audi vehicles. Something that makes this a little difficult is that the Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige tier is not consistent, but close, for all Audi vehicles. Therefore, we will be covering the 2022 Audi Q5 as an example.

Audi Trim Levels Concluded
We hope the information assists you in understanding Audi’s trim levels and what’s included. In short, Audi premium is the entry-level trim, Audi Premium Plus is the mid-level trim, and Audi Prestige is the highest and most luxurious trim. Some vehicles only have Audi Premium vs Premium Plus, some have Premium Plus vs Prestige, while others have the option of all three. If you happen to have any questions regarding a certain vehicle trim level, let us know in the comments below and we will assist in any way possible.
I think the Audi tuning company should rename their Prestige line to Audi Premium Plus. The difference between the three levels is negligible.
